Brighton-based trio Honeybadger is back with a new single, "Too Slow", a high-octane anthem that perfectly captures their signature sound. Known for blending punk, indie rock, and grunge, the band delivers an explosive track brimming with raw energy and unfiltered emotion.

Honeybadger - comprising brothers Eddy (guitar/vocals), Joe (drums), and their longtime friend Luca (bass) - have quickly gained a reputation for their hard-hitting, gritty music and electrifying live performances. Drawing influence from iconic acts like Drenge, Them Crooked Vultures, Pretty Vicious, and The White Stripes, the band’s sound is marked by relentless riffs, raw vocals, and a driving rhythm section that packs an undeniable punch.

"Too Slow" is a reflection of the band's deep connection to music as an outlet for personal release. Joe Widdows, the band's drummer, explains, "Sometimes, the best way to deal with the chaos is to drown it out—crank up your favourite song, scream the lyrics, and lose yourself for a while. 'Too Slow' is about that fight against the never-ending pile of shit life throws at you, and how we all find our own ways to push through, even if it’s just by distracting ourselves for a bit."

The track explores the frantic pursuit of temporary relief, drawing from the simple joys of blasting music and letting go, even as life's demands continue to pile up. With its infectious energy and catchy hooks, "Too Slow" further solidifies Honeybadger’s place in the spotlight of the UK rock scene.

Their growing presence has earned them recognition on major platforms such as BBC Introducing and BBC Live Lounge. Additionally, their single "Back To Bed" gained significant airplay, landing on Alex Baker’s FreshbloodKerrang Radio (B List) and BBC Radio 1’s Rock Introducing, where Alyx Holcombe rightly remarked that the band's sound made her “want to throw pints around”. This success is further bolstered by praise from notable outlets like Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio 6, Kerrang! and CLASH Magazine.

The band’s rapid rise has earned them spots on key Apple Music and Spotify editorial playlists, including New in Punk, New in Rock, and Fresh Finds Rock. Their riotous previous single "Maybe I" has also surpassed 100,000 streams on Spotify alone, and helped to double their audience on Instagram to nearly 5,000 followers in less than 6 months.

With "Too Slow," Honeybadger continues to deliver on their promise to bring music that’s both powerful and unapologetically raw. As they carve their path in the music world, it’s clear that their authentic, no-holds-barred approach is resonating with fans and industry insiders alike.

“Too Slow” is out on all streaming platforms 2nd May 2025
