The music industry can feel ring-fenced - a world of insiders and gatekeepers that leaves independent artists on the outside, regardless of how strong their music is. Everything Blinding Talent does is built around changing that: giving artists access to the kind of knowledge, strategic thinking and industry relationships that have historically only been available to those already signed to major labels.
That mission starts here, with 28 years of experience across every part of the music and media industry - and a belief that the most talented artists shouldn't have to navigate this alone.
Mark Adams grew up in South London and entered the music industry in the late 1990s through Broadcast Operations at The Box Music Television - one of the UK's pioneering music video channels. It was the beginning of a career that would take him from Junior Music Programmer to one of the most senior figures in UK music television and radio.
Rising through The Box and Emap TV, Mark played a central role in launching and programming some of the UK's most significant music media platforms, including Kerrang!, Kiss TV, Magic, QTV, Smash Hits and The Hits. As Head of Music, he helped The Box overtake MTV in market share - a landmark moment in UK music television that reshaped how a generation of fans discovered and consumed music.
When Channel 4 acquired The Box's television channels, Mark was later promoted to become the network's Director of Music Programming - overseeing music content strategy across one of the UK's most influential broadcasters, and working closely with record labels, managers and artists at the highest level of the industry.
"The harder you work, the luckier you get. Coming from an underprivileged background, I've always felt the need to live by that." - Mark Adams, Blinding Talent
His tenure at Channel 4 produced two industry firsts that still stand as landmarks. In 2015, Mark launched the Official YouTube Chart in partnership with YouTube - the first chart of its kind to measure music video performance on the platform. A year later, he launched Spotify's first ever Streaming Chart, helping to establish streaming data as a central metric in the music industry at a time when the shift from physical and download sales to streaming was still unfolding.

Mark left Channel 4 in 2018, subsequently consulting for sync businesses, international record labels and music AI companies. In 2020 - starting from his spare room - he founded Blinding Talent.
Across his career in programming, curation and marketing, Mark has contributed to campaigns and releases for some of the most recognised artists in UK and international music. His work in TV and radio programming played a role in breaking and amplifying artists including:
Anne Marie, All Time Low, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, George Ezra, My Chemical Romance, Pink, Rag'n'Bone Man, Tom Grennan, Years & Years - and many more.
This work spanned prioritised TV and radio support, innovative programming formats, and content activations with some of the world's most recognised brands - from Guitar Hero and KFC to River Island and Shockwaves.

Mark has also produced original video formats in direct partnership with Spotify and YouTube, developing some of the earliest examples of what is now standard practice: platform-native music content designed specifically for streaming audiences.
Over nearly three decades, Mark has been recognised as one of the UK music industry's leading figures. He has served as a judge on some of the industry's most prestigious award panels, including:
He has also been a regular presence at the UK's leading music industry events and conferences, including partnerships with Music Week and The Great Escape.
In 2026, Mark became a certified artist manager through the Music Managers Forum - the UK's leading professional body for artist management. The MMF qualification covers contracts, royalties, touring economics, mental health, publishing, sync licensing and long-term career strategy.
Mark is one of a small number of people in the UK to combine senior broadcasting credentials with a formal artist management qualification. The certification reflects both the depth of knowledge he brings to artist development engagements and his commitment to the professional standards of the management practice.

Blinding Talent was founded in 2020 on a straightforward premise: independent artists deserve access to the same quality of strategic guidance, industry relationships and platform expertise as signed acts - without giving up their ownership, creative control or the majority of their earnings.
Today, Blinding Talent works with a range of artists across the UK and internationally, with a hand-picked team of specialists across artist development, digital marketing, content creation and spotify growth.
Mark brings a perspective that is genuinely rare: someone who has sat at every side of the table - as a broadcaster, a programmer, a marketer, a label partner, a platform innovator and now as a consultant and founder. He has always been closely connected to what's coming next in music technology, with a particular focus on AI and machine learning and their implications for how artists build and monetise audiences.
"I try to impress on everyone the need to be a sponge - to keep learning, to network, to invest in your self-development, to challenge convention." - Mark Adams, Blinding Talent
In 2024, Mark launched The Blinding Talent Music Industry Podcast - a series of in-depth conversations with some of the most experienced and influential figures in the music business. Equal parts campfire stories and practical insight, the podcast is built on the same philosophy as everything Blinding Talent does: making genuine industry knowledge accessible to artists who need it most.
Guests have included Sol Parker (Wasserman - live agent for Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, The Prodigy and Take That), Colin Barlow (legendary A&R who signed Girls Aloud and worked with Beyoncé, Pharrell and Justin Timberlake), Simon Jones (publicist and manager for RAYE, Little Mix and One Direction), Rich Castillo (head of A&R at Graduation Music, working with Olivia Dean and Elton John), Vanessa Warwick (MTV), Sarah Wilson (XL/Beggars/Tunecore), Stephen Budd (music executive and festival creator), Nathan Phillips (Nuclear Blast/Spinefarm) and more.
The podcast is available on all major platforms and on YouTube, where full video episodes are published alongside the audio release.
