HEAD OF SOCIAL MEDIA
Leadership · Strategy · Artist-Focused · In-Office · Reigate, Surrey
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 p/a (depending on experience)
About Blinding Talent
Blinding Talent supports independent artists with professional-level strategy across management, releases, and audience growth. We work selectively and deliberately, focusing on long-term momentum rather than short-term noise.
Our social media offering is a core part of that ecosystem - not a standalone service.
The Role
We’re looking for a Head of Social Media to lead and evolve our social media practice.
This is a senior role for someone who understands social media as a strategic function - one that supports releases, shapes perception, and builds recognition over time.
You’ll be responsible for setting direction, overseeing delivery, mentoring the team, and ensuring social activity aligns with wider artist strategy.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Defining and evolving Blinding Talent’s social media approach
- Leading and mentoring Social Media Managers
- Overseeing strategy for artists at different stages
- Ensuring content aligns with releases, positioning, and brand intent
- Working closely with strategy, advertising, and management teams
- Setting realistic standards for consistency and quality
- Reviewing performance and refining frameworks over time
What We’re Looking For
- Significant experience leading social media strategy in music, culture, or creative industries
- A strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and evolving platform behaviour
- Experience managing or mentoring a team
- The ability to balance creative intuition with structure and data
- Confidence working with artists, managers, and senior stakeholders
- You should be comfortable saying no as often as yes — and explaining why.
What We Offer
- Senior influence within a respected music industry brand
- The opportunity to shape a thoughtful, sustainable social media practice
- A selective client base and realistic workloads
- A culture that values thinking and creativity
- Long-term growth and leadership opportunities
How to Apply
- Send a short introduction outlining your experience and perspective on social media in the music industry.
- Examples of past work are welcome, but clarity of thinking matters more than metrics.
