Mark Adams is a leading music industry strategist and former Channel 4 tastemaker, with over 20 years at the forefront of artist discovery, audience growth, and digital innovation.

He launched iconic music brands including Kerrang, Kiss, Magic, and 4Music, gave Ed Sheeran his first-ever TV performance, and created multiple industry firsts - including the world’s first official Spotify chart and the world’s first YouTube video chart.

Mark has worked hands-on with the biggest artists in the world, filming and developing content with One Direction, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Green Day, Pharrell Williams, and many more. He has also played a key role in helping break global artists including Dua Lipa, Anne-Marie, and Billie Eilish.

A trusted industry authority, Mark has judged the BRIT Awards, BBC Sound of…, and Kerrang! Awards, and is a current Music Week Awards judge in the Marketing category.

Working at the intersection of broadcast, platforms, and culture, he has collaborated closely with Shazam, Spotify and YouTube during pivotal moments of industry change, building deep expertise in fan growth, digital marketing, music video strategy, social content, data, and AI.

Mark has appeared on ITV, BBC and Channel 4, and has collaborated with leading industry platforms including CMU (The Great Escape), BPI (Liverpool Sound City), and DITTO (Meet the Music Industry).

He is also host of The Blinding Talent Music Industry Podcast, named by Music Week as one of the industry’s best new podcasts, featuring senior leaders from Sony, RCA, MTV, Wasserman, and UMG.

Today, through Blinding Talent, Mark works with artists, businesses, and platforms to turn insight into action - building audiences, breaking artists, and creating sustainable, future-proof careers in music.
